HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - Here are some notes from the BGSU-Marshall game...

Junior Robert Redd set a school record for receiving yards in a game ... Redd had 215 yards, including 195 in the first half alone ... the old record was 189 yards, set by Mark Szlachcic (vs. Fresno State, 1991).

Redd's total of nine receptions set a career best ... he caught eight balls in back-to-back games vs. Kent and Toledo in 1999 ... Redd's yardage total marked the fifth time in his career that he had 100 or more receiving yards in a game.

Junior Andy Sahm's total of 264 yards was the second highest of his career ... the only higher total was 302 yards, amassed in his first collegiate start (a 1999 win over Toledo) ... Sahm now has five career games with over 200 yards.

Sahm's 59-yard completion (to Redd) in the second quarter was the longest of his Falcon career ... his previous best was a 54-yarder to David Bautista vs. Ohio last year.

Senior Kurt Gerling extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one reception to 33 ... Gerling, who caught three balls for 24 yards and a touchdown at MU, has at least one catch in every game as a collegian.

Junior Joe Alls recorded a game-high 107 yards rushing ... the 100-yard effort was his second this season and the fifth of his career ... Alls now has 289 yards rushing this year after totalling 191 yards during all of last season.

The crowd of 32,034 at Saturday's game was the fourth largest in Marshall Stadium history.

Redshirt freshman Sean Suisham made his first field goal as a collegian, and BGSU's first three-pointer of the year, with a 28-yarder in the second quarter.

Senior Khary Campbell's touchdown was the second of his career ... Campbell, who returned a Byron Leftwich fumble for a score Saturday, returned an interception for a TD in last year's game vs. Ohio ... the BGSU defense has scored three touchdowns (two fumble returns, one interception return) in the last two games.

Saturday's loss snapped a three-game BGSU win streak ... the Falcons' 3-0 start to the season had been the team's best since the 1985 season.

Despite Saturday's setback, BGSU still leads the overall series with Marshall by a 19-7 count ... BGSU is now 8-5 in games played in Huntington.

Franklin Wallace's touchdown midway through the second quarter marked the first rushing TD surrendered by the Falcons this year.

MU was credited with four quarterback sacks, the first allowed by the Falcons in 2001.

BGSU surrendered a season-high 94 rushing yards to Marshall ... however, the Falcons still have not given up 100 yards rushing in a game this year ... the Falcons have held the last four opponents, and 10 of the last 14 foes, to less than 100 yards rushing.

Senior David Bautista was held to one reception at MU, marking just the second time in his 15-game Falcon career that he has had less than four catches in a game ... Bautista has 88 catches for 1135 yards in those 15 games.

BGSU has now scored 108 points in the last three games, and 128 points this season, after scoring a total of 174 points during all of last season.
