
Falcon Volleyball Downs Buffalo, 3-0

The Bowling Green Falcon volleyball squad earned its ninth vicotry of the season as it swept Buffalo on Friday, November 15 in three sets, 30-28, 31-29, 30-21.
The Falcons were led by both freshman Emily Manser and senior Kristin Gamby. The duo posted 24 kills between them along with 22 digs. Manser slammed down 12 kills and picked up 10 digs for her third double-double of the season while Gamby tallied a dozen kills and picked up the same amount in the backcourt for her fifth double-double of 2002. Gamby started the match with a career total 965 kills and is a mere 23 slams away from 1,000.
Other notable performances came from setter Amber Mareski who recorded 40 assists, seven digs and five kills and classmate Taylor Twite who sent back four blocks. Juniors Susie Norris and Laura Twyman also had significant contributions. Norris put away seven kills and had nine digs while Twyman tallied nine kills and three blocks.
The Falcons take to the road this Sunday, November 17, to face the Huskies of Northern Illinois. BG dropped the first contest between the two squads earlier this season in a three game match at Anderson Arena.
