
Kent State Defeats Volleyball, 3-1

After a four-game loss to Eastern Michigan at home on Friday, November 1, the Bowling Green volleyball team travelled to Kent to face the Golden Flashes. What came of that road trip was another four-game loss to a MAC opponent. The Falcons dropped the contest 22-30, 24-30, 32-30, 26-30 and fall to 3-10 in the league and 8-17 overall while Kent improves to 7-5 in the league and 14-10 overall.
As in many previous matches, there were a few bright spots for the Falcons. Sophomore Taylor Twite had an impressive performance tallying 13 kills, a season and career-high, and 5 blocks assists to lead BG. Senior Kristin Gamby also slammed down 13 kills of her own. Left-side hitter Susie Norris notched her 14th double-double performance of the 2002 campaign with 15 kills and 10 digs to lead the team in both categories. Norris also became a member of the 900 Career Kill Club and currently owns 907 for her BG career.
Bowling Green returns home Friday, November 8, to face division foe Ball State. The match will begin at 6:00 p.m. in BGSU's Anderson Arena.

* Junior Susie Norris needs 21 more digs to tie for 10th (359) all-time in the digs-in-a-season column of the record books.
* Junior Nadia Bedricky reached 200 digs for the season and has recorded 574 for her career.
*Senior Kristin Gamby needs 54 more kills to reach 1,000 for her BGSU career and only 69 more to tie for 10th all-time.
