
BGSU Defeats Tiffin, 91-57

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green scored 52 points in the first half and went on to post a 91-57 win over Tiffin University in the Falcons' home-opener at Anderson Arena. BGSU had five players reach double figures, including Kevin Netter and Cory Ryan with 19 apiece.
"They made us fight through some things," said BGSU coach Dan Dakich. "To do down four to up by 20, we did it the right way with defense and ball movement."
Tiffin cut the Falcon lead to just one with only 7:01 left in the first half (29-28) on a layup by Kenny Salway. However, BGSU went on a 23-6 run to finish the first half and hold a 52-32 lead at the break. Sophomore John Reimold and Netter both had 13 points in the first half for the Falcons.
The Falcons shot 51.6 pct. (16-of-31) in the first half while Tiffin was 11-of-21 (52.4 pct.) in the first half.
BGSU shot 45.2 pct. (28-of-62) for the game while going 31-of-38 from the charity stripe. Tiffin was 19-of-55 from the field (34.5 pct.) and 15-of-25 from the charity stripe for the game.
Bowling Green (1-1) hosts Buffalo in the first Mid-American Conference contest for the Falcons this season at Anderson Arena on Wednesday night (Dec. 4) at 8 p.m.
