
Bowling Green Bounces Back Miami, 65-50

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Len Matela and Brandon Pardon each scored 19 points to lead Bowling Green to a 65-50 victory over Miami, Ohio, on Wednesday.
Bowling Green (20-6, 10-5 Mid-American Conference) scored the first points of the game on a jumper by Keith McLeod, and the Falcons dominated Miami (11-15, 8-7) the rest of the way.
By halftime, Bowling Green led 26-19.
In the second half, Miami came within four points of Bowling Green with 14:34 remaining on a layup by Juby Johnson, but an 8-0 run ended about two minutes later with Bowling Green ahead 42-30 at the 12:23 mark. Miami never got closer than nine points the rest of the game.
Miami's loss ended a nine-game winning streak in conference games at home. Bowling Green clinched its 12th 20-win season and guaranteed a winning road record for only the fifth time since 1963.
McLeod added 10 points for Bowling Green. He and Matela also grabbed six rebounds each to lead the Falcons.
Miami had no players in double figures and was out-rebounded by Bowling Green 32-22. Johnson led scoring for the Falcons with nine points. Danny Horace led his team in rebounds with six.
