Falcon Gymnasts Defeat Air Force and Earn 15th Victory of 2002

The Bowling Green Gymnastics Team defeated the U.S. Air Force Academy Friday night 195.650 to 193.150 to earn its 15th victory of the season. The Falcons posted first and second place finishes in every event including the all around.
Individual performances were highlighted by senior Marny Oestreng, who placed 1st in the all around (39.300), 1st in bars (9.950), 1st in the floor (9.900), 2nd in the vault (9.750), and tied for 5th in the beam (9.700). Sophomore and fellow countryman of Oestreng, Pia Sjovall, also had an impressive night earning 1st in the vault with a 9.775 and tied for 1st in the floor with a 9.900. Junior Ann Marie Kassouf improved on the beam placing 1st with a 9.900.
The Falcons return to Eppler Center Complex for their final home meet of the season next Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m.
