Tampa, Fla. - The Bowling Green women's golf team finished 10th as a team at the 16th Annual Snowbird Intercollegiate in Tampa, Fla., on Friday. BG was 10th out of 22 teams with a 36-hole score of 652 (327, 325). It was the spring-season opener for Bowling Green.
BG's Shelley Binzel was the top Falcon placer, finishing tied for seventh with a two-round score of 152 (75, 77). Binzel finished day one tied for fourth place.
Other Falcons competing for coach Kurt Thomas included sophomore Jenny Schnipke (T-17th, 157), Shannon Smith (T-85th, 172), Stephanie Elsea (T-93rd, 174) and Julie Wise (T-100th, 177).
Bowling Green returns to action when it competes at the Western Michigan Invitational, April 7-8.
