Women's Track Finishes Sixth At All-Ohio

The Bowling Green State Women's Track team placed sixth at the All-Ohio Championships this past weekend at Ohio State. The team scored a total of 67 points, finishing ahead of Ashland, Toledo, Findlay, Dayton, Central State and Youngstown State.
The Falcons earned one first place, two second place and two third place finishes over the weekend. Top performers for BG were sophomores Amber Culp and Tamika Dixon who both placed second in their respective events. Culp took silver in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase with a time of 11:22.42 while Dixon took second in the 400 Meter Dash with a mark of 56.33. Fellow sophomore Alicia Taylor placed third in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.59. Senior Lori Williams took bronze in the discus with a distance of 47.42 meters.
Taking top honors from this weekend was the Women's 4x400 Meter Relay squad. Their time was an impressive 3:43.88.
The Falcons look ahead to both the Eastern Michigan Twilight Relays and the Kansas Relays held in Lawrence, Kansas next weekend April 18-20.
