Women's Volleyball Falls In MAC Opener

The Bowling Green volleyball squad opened up the conference slate Friday, September 27 at Ohio University. The Falcons fell to the Bobcats in three games 25-30, 26-30, 20-30. BG is now 5-8 on the season and 0-1 in Mid-American Conference play. The Bobcats improve to 11-2 and 1-0.
A pair of BG netters led the attack with 12 kills and three service aces apiece. Juniors Susie Norris and Laura Twyman slammed a dozen each and were the only BG players to notch kills in the double-digits. Norris hit for an average of .360 while Twyman hit an impressive .381. Norris also led the team in the backcourt picking up 9 digs.
The Falcons remain on the road Saturday (Sept. 28) when they take on Akron at the James A. Rhodes arena at 7:00 p.m.
