Falcon Volleyball Defeats Indiana State

The Bowling Green State University Volleyball team began its first road weekend with a win over Missouri Valley Conference foe Indiana State. The Falcons are competing in the Pittsburgh Invitational and faced the Sycamores Friday (Sept. 6) afternoon to open tournament play. BG won the meeting in five games 26-30, 28-30, 30-26, 30-24, 15-10.
Junior left-side hitter Susie Norris had an impressive afternoon earing her first double-double of the season and 24th of her career with 19 kills and 26 digs. Senior Kristin Gamby also had an impressive performance posting 23 kills on 57 attempts hitting a .333 for the match. Sophomore Bridget Protas and junior Laura Twyman contributed to the Falcon defense combining for seven of the 14 total team blocks.
The Falcons will face the Duke Blue Devils Saturday (Sept.7) morning at 11 a.m. and then square off against host Pitt in the feature match at 7:30 p.m.
