David DeGraff Named MAC Player of the Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University goalkeeper David DeGraff has been named the Mid-American Conference men's soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 13, 2003. DeGraff registered two wins for the Falcons this past weekend, surrendering just two goals in two games.
The Naperville, Ill., native registered back-to-back wins for the Falcons this past weekend by allowing just one goal in each game. DeGraff surrendered one goal in 93 minutes of action against IPFW (Oct. 10) in a 2-1 OT victory while he allowed just one goal to Northern Illinois (Oct. 12) in a 2-1 decision. For the weekend, DeGraff had a 0.98 goals against average in 183:51 minutes of action. He made 10 saves in the two games, including seven at IPFW.
This is the second time in DeGraff's career that he has earned MAC Player of the Week honors. The last time came almost exactly three years ago (Oct. 16, 2000).
DeGraff leads the seven-team conference in total saves (71) and saves per game (6.45), and is second in save percentage (.807 pct.). He also leads all active goalkeepers in career shutouts with 16, which is tied for sixth all-time in MAC history.
