Falcons Drop Five-Set Match At Buffalo

BUFFALO, New York - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team dropped a five-set match to the University of Buffalo on Sunday afternoon (20-30, 31-29, 19-30, 30-18, 11-15). Susie Norris and Taylor Twite, who had 18 and 16 kills, led the Falcons.
The University of Buffalo hit a team .210 percentage for the match, and held Bowling Green to a season-worst .147 hitting percentage.
For the match Norris and Twite were the only Falcons to register double figures in the kills department, but several other Falcons chipped in. Dana Chapman and Bridget Protas added five kills, while Nadia Bedricky also chipped in with five kills, but also had 13 digs.
Twite added a .343 hitting percentage to go along with her 18 kills. She also had a career-high seven block-assists.
To go along with the 16-kill performance by Norris, she also posted 14 digs. She now if only two digs shy of the all-time BGSU digs record of 1,344, held by Holli Costein.
Freshman Chrissy Gothke had a team-high 16 digs, which was her fourth straight double figure dig performance and her 13th out of the last 14 matches.
Coming off a two game road trip the Falcons will return to Anderson Arena on October 10 to face off with Central Michigan. The match is set for 7:00 p.m.
