HONOLULU (AP) - John Reimold set four career records, including a career-high 30 points, to lead Bowling Green past Lamar 81-68 in the seventh place game of the Rainbow Classic.
Reimold also set career bests in field goals made (11), field goals attempted (20) and 3-point field goals made with seven. Ronald Lewis added 22 points and Steven Wright scored 13 as the Falcons improved to 4-7. BGSU will host Eastern Michigan at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, January 3.
"It was a very good win-maybe against as an athletic of a basketball team as we have played--coached by a great coach," said BGSU Coach Dan Dakich. "I was very impressed with how our kids came out, stayed focused, and improved. The trip didn't turn out exactly the way we wanted it to, but the last game turned out pretty well because it was a very good win versus a tough team."
Teddy Davis scored 21 points to lead Lamar (6-6) and Blake Whittle added in a career high 16 as the Cardinals dropped their fifth straight game.
After closing to 58-57 with 8:46 remaining in the second half, the Cardinals turned the ball over four times while the Falcons went on a 15-3 run over the next five and a half minutes.
Bowling Green shot 47 percent from the field (27-of-57) while forcing 15 turnovers. The Falcons turned the ball over 17 times.
