Falcons Drop Meet to Eastern Michigan, 192.950-190.925

Ypsilanti, MI - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics squad dropped a 192.950-190.925 to Eastern Michigan Friday night inside Warner Gymnasium. The Falcons were led by freshman Jessica Guyer, who was the top Falcon in two events.
Freshman Jessica Guyer (Columbus, OH) posted several top finishes for the Falcons. Guyer finished in a tie for third overall on the vault with a score of 9.775, finished third overall on the beam with a score of 9.750 and finished with a first place tie on the floor with a score of 9.875. She was the top Falcon on the vault and floor exercise.
Senior co-captain Ann Marie Kassouf (Middleburg Heights, OH) finished second in the all-around with a score of 37.300, and junior Melissa Popovich (Medina, OH) placed third overall in the all-around with a score of 36.975.
Up next, the Falcons head to Northern Illinois for a Sunday afternoon showdown with the Huskies on February 9. The meet is set for 2:00 p.m.
