Ocala, Fla. - The final round of the Big Red Classic was cancelled on Sunday afternoon in Ocala, Fla., due to thunderstorms. BGSU finished 14th out of 18 teams after playing two rounds on Saturday at Lake Diamond Country Club.
BGSU finished with a team score of 598. The Falcons carded a 302 in the first round and then a 296 in the second round on Saturday.
Individually, freshman Chris Leake led the Falcons with a score of 149 through two rounds (79, 70), good enough for a tie for 41st place. Other Falcons competing included Craig Pickerel (151, T-52nd), Austin Chase (T-72nd, 153), Bud Ziglar (T-78th, 154), Eric Lauderbach (T-85th, 155) and Andy Miller (T-97th, 159).
Kent State won the tournament with a team score of 561.
BGSU competes again in a month when it travels to the Marshall Invitational, April 4-5, in Huntington, W.V.
