BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University softball team has added another game to the team's current spring trip. The Falcons, already heading to Charlottesville, Va., for a tournament this Friday through Sunday (March 14-16), will play a single game against the University of Virginia on Thursday afternoon (March 13). That contest is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
The Falcons of head coach Leigh Ross-Shaw are 5-4 on the season, and take a three-game winning streak into a Tuesday (March 11) doubleheader at Morehead State University. BGSU won the Red and Black Classic, hosted by the University of Louisville, over the weekend. In that tourney, the Falcons posted three consecutive shutout wins, tying the school record.
Following Thursday's game at UVa., the Falcons will play in the Cavalier Classic. BG will play doubleheaders against Seton Hall (Friday), Stony Brook (Saturday) and host Virginia (Sunday).
The Cavalier Classic marks the Falcons' final action before the Mid-American Conference opener, scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at Western Michigan.
