Track Sits In Third Place After Day One Of All-Ohio Championships

Columbus, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track team established a team total 22 points to sit in third place at the All-Ohio Championships in Columbus, Ohio after day one of the competition. The Falcons trail only Kent State (28) and Akron (25) while leading nine other schools.
Amber Culp established a regional qualifying time of 10:56.62 in the 3,000 meters, capturing first place and 10 points for the Falcons.
In the 10,000 meter Kristen Spicer finished fifth with a time of 39:00.15 and Beth Scheall finished eighth with a time of 41:41.79.
Brooke Allen had her second consecutive strong meet with a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 123-10.
The Falcons will continue action Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
