Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Director of Athletics Paul Krebs has named Greg Hulen as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Corporate Relations. Hulen, who joins the staff after working two years for Gund Sports Marketing, will oversee all areas of marketing, promotions, group ticket sales, advertising, and corporate partnerships for the BGSU athletic program.
"Greg is someone who has experience selling BGSU athletics and we are excited to bring our marketing activities back internally," said Krebs. "He did an outstanding job of increasing our revenues during his tenure with the Cavs/Gund Arena Corporation and we believe he will continue to strengthen the many relationships he has helped establish over the last two years."
With Gund Sports Marketing, Hulen served as General Manager of Falcon Sports Marketing. In that role, he managed all corporate partner activity for the BGSU athletic department, developed sales strategy, materials and proposal for prospects and partner renewals, helped the athletic department increase ticket sales, managed all aspects of the day-to-day business activities, and worked with the athletic department to expand available sales inventory in football, basketball and hockey facilities.
He also worked as a game management assistant at the 2000 Rose Bowl and was an intern in the Texas Tech Athletic Media Relations office.
Hulen earned master's degrees in 2001 from Ohio University in business administration and sports administration/facility management. He also earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Florida State University in 1998.
He and his wife, Lyndsey, reside in Bowling Green. She is pursuing a master's degree at BGSU in college student personnel.
