Falcons Ready to Host 3rd Annual John Piper Intercollegiate

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team will host the 3rd Annual John Piper Intercollegiate, Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 15-16), at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. Twelve teams are scheduled to participate in the two-day, 54-hole tournament.
The tournament is named after former Falcon men's golf coach John Piper who coached the Brown and Orange for 13 years from 1970-1982. Piper led BGSU to three Mid-American Conference Championships and one runner-up finish. Piper currently resides in Bowling Green.
Competing in the Piper Intercollegiate will be BGSU, Cincinnati, Wright State, Youngstown State, Cleveland State, Detroit, Oakland, Dayton, Butler, Wis.-Green Bay, Ohio Univ., and Marquette.
There will be 36 holes played on Monday, Sept. 15, beginning with a tee-time start at 8 a.m. Tuesday's round of 18 holes will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Stone Ridge Golf Club is a par 72 and 6,920 yards long.
