The Falcons established a season-best for three-point field goals made (11) and tied their season-high for free throws made (27, vs. Northern Illinois).
BGSU made six of seven three-point attempts in the second half (85.7 percent). The 57.9 percent overall from beyond the arc was the second best effort this season (61.5 vs. central Michigan).
The 88 points was the second most that BGSU has scored this season.
Sophomore Ron Lewis had a MAC career-best 31 points. He canned three of six three-pointers and made 12 of 14 free throws. It was his fourth career 30+ point effort and third this season. This also marked the 14th time in his career that he has attempted 10 or more free throws in a game. BGSU is 11-3 in those games. He also had five boards and four assists.
Junior John Reimold had 28 points and five assists. He also hit on six of 11 three-pointers and had five boards and five assists. In the last five games, he has 24 assists.
Sophomore Steven Wright tied his career-best with 13 points. He also had seven assists and five rebounds. He was eight of 10 from the line giving him his first career game with 10 free throws or more.
The Falcons had 19 assists and just 11 turnovers.
BGSU has won nine of its last 10 games over the last two seasons when it has scored 80 points or more.
BGSU posted its first win of the season when trailing at halftime (40-38).
Cole Magner and Keon Newson have decided to focus on their senior season of football and will not suit up with the men's basketball team for the remainder of the year.
BGSU is 5-0 when forcing more turnovers and 6-1 when shooting more free throws than its opponent.
