
Falcons Fall In Three To Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Michigan - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team dropped a three set match on Saturday night at the hands of the Western Michigan Broncos (30-28, 30-15, 32-30). The loss drops the Falcons to 13-9 overall and 6-4 in MAC play.
The Falcons managed only a .100 hitting percentage in game one, but were unable to finish off WMU as the Broncos were able to steal the opening game from BGSU.
Western dominated game to hitting a .364 as a team and cruised home with a game two victory, 30-15.
Game three was much like game one as the Falcons had several three and four point leads, but the Broncos were able to once again steal the final game, 32-30.
For the match Taylor Twite led the Falcons with 12 kills. Emily Manser (11) and Melissa Mohr (9) also chipped in offensively.
Defensively freshman Maggie Karges and Manser led the team with 14 digs, with Chrissy Gothke also adding 11.
The Falcons will look for revenge as they play host to Western Michigan (Oct. 29, 7:00 p.m.) on Friday night, with Eastern Michigan (Oct. 30, 3:00 p.m.) entering Anderson Arena the following night.
