CINCINNATI, Ohio - Bowling Green traveled to the Queen City for a non-conference match with the Bearcats of Cincinnati. The Bearcats pulled away with the 6-0 win, marking the first time Bowling Green has lost to Cincinnati in their past seven meetings.
Tyler Dollins and Brandon Decker shared time in goal, Dollins having three saves and Decker with two.
Cincinnati was able to find the net on two occasions during the first half. Jeff Hughes and Jeff Anderson of Cincinnati were able to score off passes inside the box. This gave the Bearcats a 2-0 lead going into the second half.
Going into halftime, Cincinnati had out-shot Bowling Green 7-1.
Bowling Green came back ready to play with six shots in the second half. Matt Yanick, Omari aldridge and Abiola Sandy all had strong shots on goal but were unable to place them in the net.
Cincinnati came back and scored another four times before ending the match at 6-0 in favor of the Bearcats.
Bowling Green returns home on Thursday (Oct. 28) to face IPFW at 3 p.m. This will mark Bowling Green's last regular season match before the MAC Tournament begins on Nov. 5.
