BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Omar Jacobs passed for 333 yards and three touchdowns, and Charles Sharon and P.J. Pope each had big performances to help Bowling Green beat Eastern Michigan 41-20 Saturday night.
Jacobs threw touchdown passes of 12 and 24 yards to Sharon and 8 yards to Todd DiBacco in the first half as the Falcons (6-2, 4-1 Mid-American Conference) took a 24-10 lead.
Mitchell Crossley picked off a backwards pass from Matt Bohnet and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown just 1:30 into the second half to put the Falcons ahead by 21. Because it was not a forward pass the play is recorded as a fumble recovery.
Jacobs completed 30 of 44 throws without an interception. Sharon caught 10 passes for 143 yards and Pope rushed for 128 yards and an 18-yard TD on 19 carries.
Matt Bohnet was 24-of-47 passing for 365 yards and a touchdown for the Eagles (3-5, 3-2), who ran for only 45 yards on 27 carries. Eric Deslauriers had a 14-yard TD catch among his nine receptions for 189 yards.
