Falcons Finish 11th at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational

MUNCIE, Indiana - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished tied for eleventh place in a two day event held Monday and Tuesday at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, hosted by Ball State University. The Falcons ended with a 54-hole team score of 899 (298-297-304).
Notre Dame won the eighteen-team tournament with a score of 855 (283-282-290). The host Redbirds finished third with a score of 868 (288-286-294).
Junior Heath Ziglar finished tied for 24th with a three-round score of 222 (74-73-75). Junior Chris Leake was not far behind, finishing tied for 34th with a score of 223 (74-73-76). Other Falcon finishers included freshman Jace Walker (T-48th, 225), junior Adam Cordes (T-61st, 229) and senior Craig Pickerel (T-75th, 236).
BGSU continues its fall season with the Xavier Invitational, Oct. 11-12, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tournament is hosted by Xavier University.
