CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University tennis freshman Ashley Jakupcin has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office has announced. Jakupcin earns the honor for the first time in her brief collegiate career.
Jakupcin, a native of Dublin, Ohio (Bishop Watterson HS), went 2-1 in the Falcons' two matches last weekend. She was victorious in both singles and doubles in BGSU's 6-1 loss at Cincinnati Saturday (Feb. 7).
