BGSU Golf Finishes 2nd at Kick-Off Classic

Charleston, S.C. - The Bowling Green men's golf team finished second at the Charleston Southern University Kick-Off Classic, held at Coosaw Creek Country Club in Charleston, South Carolina. The Falcons ended with a three-round team score of 905, 15 strokes back of host CSU (890).
The 12-team, two-day tournament was the first of eight tournaments this spring for the Falcons, including the Mid-American Conference tournament in Westerville, Ohio (May 6-8).
Sophomore Heath Ziglar finished tied for third place overall with a 54-hole score of 222, including a third-round low of 70 on Tuesday. Teammate Craig Pickerel matched Ziglar's 70 on Tuesday to finish tied for 11th place overall with a three-round score of 227.
Senior Adam Balls finished tied for 16th (229) while sophomores Tommy Lopez (T-27th, 234) and Adam Cordes (T-38th, 238) rounded out the Falcon finishers.
BGSU next travels to Florida for Spring Break, where they will compete at the Big Red Classic in Ocala, Fla. (March 13-14) and the El Diablo Intercollegiate in Citrus Springs, Fla. (March 20-21).
