Falcons Fall To Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY - By a score of 164-136 the Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team dropped a dual meet at the hands of Buffalo Friday evening inside the Alumni Arena Natatorium. With the loss the Falcons fall to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in league play.
Despite the loss, several Falcons had impressive showings. In the second event of the night sophomore Kara Ohngren captured first-place in the 1,000-yard freestyle, a full 14 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor.
The Falcons claimed the top two spots in the 100-yard breaststroke. Junior Erin Dilkes (108.38) placed first, while senior Sarah Agnew (1:08.70) finished close behind. Agnew also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:26.13.
Sophomore Stephanie Buckner took home top honors in both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with times of 24.14 and 54.22, respectively.
The Falcons return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Akron, Ohio for a 1:00 p.m. dual with the Zips.
