Falcons Drop 2-1 Decision to EKU

Bradenton, Fla. - Bowling Green dropped a 2-1 decision to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday morning in Bradenton, Fla. to officially end its Spring Break trip. The Falcons end 6-2 on its seven-day trip to the Florida trip. BGSU drops to 8-3 overall while the Colonels improve to 10-2.
EKU pitcher Scott Goetz got the win for the Colonels after giving up one earned run on six hits in 7.0 innings of work. Goetz struck out six BGSU batters. Richard Boothe got his second save of the year after tossing two innings of hitless work to close the game.
The Colonels scored two runs on seven hits while BGSU scored one run on six hits and committed four errors on the day.
BGSU manufactured a run in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.
The Falcons return North for its home opener at Warren Steller Field on Tuesday, March 16, against Sienna Heights (2 p.m.).
