Falcon Men's Finishes 3rd at Big Red Classic

Ocala, Fla. - The Bowling Green men's golf team finished in third place at the 2004 Big Red Classic in Ocala, Fla. The three-round, 15-team tournament was played at the Lake Diamond Golf and Country Club in Ocala, Fla.
Methodist College won the tournament with a team score of 887.
The Falcons finished with a team score of 893, just two strokes back of second-place Austin Peay (891) and six strokes back of first-place Methodist College (887). The Falcons carded two scores of 297 and one score of 299 over the two days.
Leading the way for the Falcons was fifth-year senior Adam Balls, who tied for fourth overall with a score of 219 (plus-3). He carded scores of 75, 71, and 73. He tied with New Orleans' Kevin Maxwell and was six shots off the leader, Adam Horton of Methodist College.
Other Falcons competing were sophomore Heath Ziglar (T-7th, 222), junior Craig Pickerel (T-11th, 223), sophomore Adam Cordes (T-31st, 229), and sophomore Tommy Lopez (T-61st, 236).
BGSU next competes March 20-21 at the El Diablo Intercollegiate in Citrus Springs, Fla.
