Falcons Combine Pitching with Hitting for 8-1 Victory

Bradenton, Fla. - Bowling Green won its third in a row and second straight on its Spring Break trip with a 8-1 victory over Duquesne on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons are playing eight games in seven days in Bradenton, Fla.
Sunday's win was aided by 13 Falcon hits and a combined three-hitter by starter Keith Laughlin (1-1) and reliever Tyler Johnson (save). RS-junior Andy Hudak pounded out three doubles and scored three runs, finishing 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Sophomore Nolan Reimold continued his hot start with his third home run of the season and finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Laughlin pitched four and one-third innings, allowing one run on two hits, walking two and striking out six. Johnson entered in relief and pitched four and two-third innings of shutout baseball, walking none and striking out eight.
BGSU improves to 4-1 on the season and plays St. Bonaventure tomorrow, Monday, at 7 p.m. EST.
