Bradenton, Florida - The BGSU baseball team won its third straight game in Florida, 9-6, over St. Bonaventure, Monday night in Bradenton, Florida. The Falcons plated three runs in the fifth and four runs in the seventh for the come-from-behind victory.
Sophomore Nolan Reimold had his second-straight three-hit game, finishing 3-for-4 with a triple and four runs scored. Freshman Nick Thurman collected his first two hits as a Falcon, finshing 2-for-4 with a couple of RBIs, while Bobby Majer (2-for-3) and Josh Stewart (2-for-3) also had multiple hits.
Junior Burke Badenhop pitched the first five innings, allowing six runs (five earned), but freshman-transfer Greg Mentrek earned the win, pitching the final four frames and allowing one run on four hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
The Falcons have won four in a row and move to 5-1 on the season. They will play Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday night.
