Falcon Men's Soccer Holds End-of-Season Banquet

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Men's Soccer team recently held its end of the season banquet. The 2003 Falcon team won more games and scored more goals than in 2002 and defeated #28 Kentucky to advance to the MAC Championship game, falling to Western Michigan.
During the course of the evening, the Gary Palmisano Memorial Award for the Most Valuable Player was given to senior goalkeeper David DeGraff. DeGraff, from Naperville, Illinois, led the Falcon team with 21 games started and 127 saves on the season. DeGraff played 2021:24 minutes with a save percentage of .799 while recording five shutouts. For his efforts, DeGraff was named First Team All-Ohio.
Sean McGarity was awarded the Most Improved Player during the ceremony. The freshman McGarity played in 19 games, starting in nine of those and scoring two goals on the season. He was named to the 2003 MAC All-Tournament team.
Senior Scott Tilford received a few awards on the evening, as well. Tilford received the Pat & Mickey Cochrane Scholarship, the Janet & James Hodge Family Scholarship, and the Dr. Greg Brooks Family Scholarship for the second time in his Falcon career.
