Akron, Ohio - Bowling Green finished 17th at the 2004 FirstEnergy Intercollegiate with a three-round score of 928 (307-310-311). The event was hosted by Akron at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
BGSU's top finisher was junior Craig Pickerel who finished tied for 33rd place and opened the tournament with a 71 in the first round, ending with a 54-hole score of 223 (71-73-79). Senior Adam Balls followed closely, finishing tied for 46th wit ha score of 226 (77-76-73). Other Falcon finishers were freshman Dan McIntyre (T-91st, 240), sophomore Heath Ziglar (T-94th, 241), and sophomore Tommy Lopez (100th, 245).
Xavier captured the team title with a score of 861.
The Falcons compete next weekend in the Rutherford Intercollegiate, played in University Park, Pa. (April 30 and May 1).
