BGSU Men's Soccer Announces 2004 Schedule

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team has announced its 2004 schedule, highlighted with six opponents that participated in the 2003 NCAA Tournament.
Three of those opponents will be from the Mid-American Conference, including MAC Tournament Champion Western Michigan, Akron, and Kentucky. Also on the Falcons' slate that has postseason experience from a year ago is Michigan State, Michigan, and Oakland.
After two exhibition games against Findlay (Aug. 21) and Defiance (Aug. 26), BGSU kicks off the regular season with a home game at Mickey Cochrane Field against MSU on Sept. 1.
The Falcons then host the Kelme Classic from Sept. 4-5, taking on IUPUI at 3 p.m. on Saturday and St. Bonaventure at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
BGSU has 10 total home games in 2004 against MSU, IUPUI, St. Bonaventure, Wright State (Sept. 10), Xavier (Sept. 12), Western Illinois (Sept. 19), Marshall (Sept. 26), Akron (Oct. 3), Buffalo (Oct. 10), and IPFW (Oct. 28).
The Falcons travel to Detroit-Mercy (Sept. 8), Michigan (Sept. 17), Ohio State (Sept. 24), Oakland (Sept. 29), Northern Illinois (Oct. 8), Kentucky (Oct. 15), Western Michigan (Oct. 22), and Cincinnati (Oct. 24).
The 2004 MAC Tournament will be played Nov. 5-7 in Kalamazoo, Mich., hosted by WMU. The MAC Championship game will be played at the top remaining seed on Sunday, Nov. 14.
