Nolan Reimold Named All-Mideast Region First Team

Kalamazoo, Mich. - Bowling Green State University outfielder Nolan Reimold has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Mideast Region First Team for the 2004 season.
A total of 26 players were recognized - 10 from the Mid-American Conference, nine from the Big Ten, five from the Big East, and two from the Horizon League. This is the third-consecutive season that BGSU has had a player earn All-Mideast Region First Team.
Reimold, a sophomore from Greenville, Pa., was an All-MAC First Team selection this year, as well. He finished the regular season 15th in the nation with his .749 slugging pct., 31st nationally with his .404 batting avg., and 32nd nationally with 1.21 runs-batted-in per game (57 total). The outfielder led the Falcons this season in 12 categories and was twice named the MAC Player of the Week. He committed just one error in 85 chances from his right-field position with five assists. Reimold had 14 doubles, three triples, and 13 home runs in a team-high 46 starts this year.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder has a career batting avg. of .370 (115-of-311), fifth-best all-time in BGSU history. He finished the season on a 13-game hitting streak and his 57 RBIs are tied for the fourth-highest single-season total in BGSU history.
BGSU finished the season with a 28-19 overall record and 13-11 MAC record, just missing a bid to the conference tournament.
