BGSU Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Cardinal Classic

Yorktown, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished 11th at the season-opening Cardinal Classic, hosted by Ball State at The Players Club in Yorktown, Ind. The Falcons ended the 36-hole tournament with a team score of 657. Western Michigan won the 17-team tournament with a score of 581.
Freshman Amanda Bader was the top Falcon, finishing tied for 35th with a two-round score of 159 (79-80). Fellow freshmen Jessica McCann (81-85) and Carly Hrusovsky (80-86), as well as junior Amanda Schroeder (86-80), each finished tied for 54th with a 36-hole score of 166. Sophomore Kari Liggett placed tied for 75th with a score of 176 (88-88).
The Falcons return to action next weekend when they host its Falcon Invitational at the Forrest Creason Golf Course on the campus of BGSU. The two-day tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 18-19.
