BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green was defeated today by Western Illinois, 3-0, at Mickey Cochrane Stadium.
Western Illinois was able to net three goals in the first half which was enough to take the lead and keep it througout the match.
Scoring early for Western Illinois was Lorenzo Zignago who placed a free kick into the net at the 4:55 mark.
Soon after, Elton Fernandes assisted Nowaf Jaman who scored off a cross at the 9:48 mark.
Bowling Green's Tyler Dollins and Brandon Decker shared time in the goal. Decker had five saves for the night and Dollins with six.
At the 22:47 mark, the Leathernecks Jay Hawkins assisted Nowaf Jaman for his second goal of the match.
The next game for the Falcons will be Friday Sept. 24 at Ohio State beginning at 5 p.m.
