The event, co-hosted by Palo Alto High School, will feature nearly 4,000 competing runners in a total of 22 races.
Head coach Cami Wells and the Falcons will compete in the 4,000 meter races, with the women's race beginning at 4:35 p.m. Pacific Time and the men's race slated for a 4:55 p.m. PT start.
The travel squad for the Falcon women will include senior co-captains Melissa Krueger and Niki Suitor, seniors Elise Gould and Christina Gingras, sophomores Andrea Pollack and Kim Settle and freshmen Caroline Hillman and Jamie Roflow.
The men's travel list includes senior co-captain Steve Vairetta, junior Bryan Jackson, sophomores Edwin Cheruiyot and Rogers Kipchumba and freshmen Steve Ferber and Ryan Rohrer.
The Falcon teams will be facing some difficult competition, as a number of nationally-ranked teams dot both the men's and women's lists. The women's race features ninth-ranked UCLA, #28 Southern Methodist (SMU) and #38 California -- oh, yes, and defending national champion and #1-ranked Stanford.
