Sophomore Omar Jacobs one-yard run in the first quarter was the Falcons first rushing TD this season. He later added a two-yard run for a score in the fourth quarter.
Senior Daniel Sayles stopped sophomore Garrett Wolfe on a fourth-and-goal situation in the second quarter.
Redshirt freshman Drew Nystrom made his first career start at left tackle.
Senior Shaun Suisham made his 36th career field goal and fifth this season in seven tries, a 27-yard effort in the third quarter.
Senior Cole Magner's 12 receptions were one off his career best of 13 in 2003 at Ohio State. He finished with 86 yards receiving.
Sophomore Omar Jacobs' 11 carries were a career high as were his 29 completions and 42 attempts.
Junior Nate Fry put two of his four punts inside the 20 yard line, including a 54-yarder that was downed on the one yard line. He averaged 42.2 yards per punt.
Senior T.J. Carswell's 13 tackles were a career high.
Junior Teddy Piepkow had 10 tackles and senior Keon Newson also added 10 stops. Seniors Daniel Sayles and Jovon Burkes also had nine tackles.
BGSU lost for just the third time in 28 games since 2001 that they have led or been tied at the half. BGSU also fell at Marshall (2001) and at Toledo (2002).
