Meister is Through to the Final at the Wolverine Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Two days of play are in the books for the Bowling Green State University tennis team at the seventh annual Wolverine Invitational. The six-team tournament, hosted by the University of Michigan, is being held at the Varsity Tennis Center.
The tournament consists of three 16-player singles flights and three round-robin doubles flights, with no official team scores kept. Cincinnati, Marquette, Michigan State and Western Michigan join the Falcons and host U-M in the tournament.
Andrea Meister has been a highlight of the first two days for the Brown and Orange. The senior has won three matches to advance to the championship of the 'Wolverine' Flight, where she will meet Michigan State's Ana Milosavljevic on Sunday.
Junior Ashley Jakupcin has posted a 2-1 record to date at the 'Blue' Flight, while her sister, freshman Kelsey Jakupcin, also has won two of her three singles matches, at the 'Wolverine' Flight.
In doubles play, Meister teamed with Andrea Volle to go 2-0 in Saturday action.
The Wolverine Invitational concludes Sunday (Oct. 2), with play beginning at 9:00 a.m.
