
Yee Wins First Collegiate Race

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In her first Mid-American Conference meet freshman Alisha Yee swam a 2:09.20 in the 200 IM. She also recorded a second place finish in the 100 Backstroke.
Senior captain Kara Ohngren's 10:31.07 crushed the competition by nearly six seconds in the 1000 Freestyle. Fellow captain Dana Schultz took the top finish in the 100 Butterfly in 57.84 while junior Caroline Keating captured the top finish in the 500 Free by swimming a 5:06.02. Keating is the current all-time leader in the same event with a personal best of 4:54.53.
Rookies Ashley Belrose and Sarah Parker were the top diving finishers. Belrose took second on the 3-meter and third on the 1-meter board. Parker finished third on the 3-meter.
The Orange and Brown finished with two second place relay finishes and 17 top three finishes in the 97-146 loss to the Rockets.
The Falcons will take to the water tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 p.m. when the Eagles of Eastern Michigan invade Cooper Pool to complete the MAC meet weekend.
