BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Josh Almanson scored 27 points, including two early 3-pointers to spur a fast start, to lead Bowling Green to a 74-66 win over Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday.
Almanson hit 10-of-16 shots from the field, 3-of-5 3-pointers and all four of his free throws for the Falcons (16-7).
John Reimold led the Falcons with 29 points - all but three coming in the second half as Bowling Green withstood a comeback by the Trojans. Reimold hit all 12 of his free throws.
Richard Hardman led Arkansas-Little Rock (16-9) with 27 points, with Brandon Freeman scoring 17 and Zack Wright 10.
After the Trojans opened the scoring on a pair of free throws by Hardman, Bowling Green ran off leads of 10-2 and 15-4 as Almanson scored eight points. He hit 3-pointers on his first two shots from the field.
The Falcons led by as many as 20 points in the first half and were on top 34-21 at the break before Hardman scored the final six points of a 12-3 run to tie the game at 56 with 7:40 left.
Reimold then scored eight points and Almanson added a bucket in a 10-1 surge for a 66-57 lead with under 2 minutes remaining. The lead never dropped below seven again.
