Sebring, Florida - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team sits in a tie for third place after day one of the Springlake Intercollegiate, hosted by Northern Illinois University in Sebring, Florida, with a team score of 315. BGSU is tied with Creighton and Mercer while Illinois leads the 20-team tournament with a first-round score of 309.
BGSU freshman Jessica McCann (T-11th, 77) and Carley Hrusovsky (T-13th, 78) are leading the way. Senior Karen Binzel shot a 79 and is tied for 19th, while Kari Liggett is tied for 39th (81) and Amanda Bader is tied for 81st (86).
The final round of the 36-hole NIU Springlake Intercollegiate will take place on Saturday, March 12, beginning at 9 a.m.
