KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - Levi Rost and Rickey Willis each scored 15 points in the final home game of their careers Wednesday night, leading Western Michigan to a 77-52 victory over Bowling Green.
The win clinched at least a share of the Mid-American Conference West championship for Western (18-10, 11-6). BGSU will host Central Michigan on Saturday at 2 p.m. and still could earn a bye as the third seed in next week's MAC Tournament in Cleveland depending on the outcome of games on the final day of the regular season. BGSU also could earn a share of the MAC West crown if it wins on Saturday and Western Michigan loses at Ball State.
Stane's Bufford and Joe Reitz added 11 points for Western, which scored 13 of the game's first 15 points and never trailed.
John Reimold, Steven Wright and Josh Almanson each scored nine points for Bowling Green (17-9, 10-7). Western held Reimold, the MAC's leading scorer, to nine points under his average.
The Falcons did get some help fo the bench from freshman Perrick Robinson who had six points and sophomore Austin Montgomery who finished with five, all in the second half.
Saturday will be the final home game for Reimold, Almanson and fellow senior Cory Eyink.
