BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Giordan Watson scored 22 points and Sefton Barrett added 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Central Michigan to a 71-66 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday.
Kevin Nelson also had 11 points for the Chippewas (10-17, 4-14), who outrebounded Bowling Green 34-27.
John Reimold led the Falcons (17-10, 10-8) with 17 points, while Steven Wright finished with 16.
Bowling Green shot 52 percent in the first half and led 32-29 at halftime. Cory Eyink made a 3-pointer to increase the lead to 47-37 with 11:52 remaining.
The Chippewas slowly whittled away the Falcons' lead. Barrett hit two free throws with 2:34 left to spark a 7-0 run that gave Central Michigan a 67-63 lead.
A 3-pointer by Reimold cut the lead to one but Kevin Nelson hit a jumper and Barrett had another basket to help the Chippewas hold on.
John Floyd also had 12 points and Josh Almanson 11 for Bowling Green.
