BGSU Finishes Third At All-Ohio Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team finished third at the All-Ohio Championships in Columbus, Ohio, after recording 92 points over the weekend. Fellow Mid-American Conference opponent Akron won the meet with 197 points, while the host Buckeyes finished second with 126 points.
Other MAC schools, Miami finished sixth (78 points), Toledo seventh (49 points) and Ohio eighth (36 points).
Day two saw sophomore Jessica White finish fourth in the 100-meters (12.12) and fifth in the 200-meters (24.64).
In the jumps, sophomore Erica Wilson finished sixth in both the high jiump (5-03.75) and long jump (17-09). Fellow sophomore Veronica Vance finished fourth in the long jump (18-00.50) and third in the triple jump (38-00.25).
Kerri McClung continued her dominate performance in the shot put, this weekend capturing the meet crown with a toss of 50-00.
On Friday freshman Stephanie Hillman captured the 10,000-meter crown with a time of 37.24.84 to record 10 points for the Falcons. Elise Gould finished seventh (38:04.36) in the same event for another three points for the track squad.
Also on Friday the Falcons as a team scored eight points on the javelin with sophomore Andrean Bunko placing third (132-04) and junior Alysson Lee placing seventh (108-01).
Up next are the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. That meet is scheduled to take place from April 28-29.
