AKRON, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University softball team will continue Mid-American Conference Tournament action Friday morning (May 13), taking on Western Michigan University in a 10:00 a.m. start. The starting time was moved up an hour from the original schedule.
Friday's entire schedule has been moved up, due to the potential of inclement weather later in the day. The starting times for the four Friday games are 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The winner of the elimination-round game between the sixth-seeded Falcons and #4 WMU will advance to the 3:00 p.m. game to face #3 seed Miami University.
Western Michigan will meet the Falcons after falling, 13-12, to top-seeded Marshall in the final game on Thursday night. The Broncos trailed 11-0 entering the bottom of the sixth and 13-4 heading to the bottom of the seventh, but scored four runs in the sixth and eight in the seventh, and had the tying run on first base before the game-ending groundout at 11:25 p.m.
