BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In their last non-conference match of the season, the Falcons (2-10-1, 0-2-0) will take to the road to face the Panthers of the University of Pittsburgh (4-7-2, 3-3-1). The night flight for the Falcons is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Pitt's Founders Field in Indianola, Pa.

Bowling Green became the first team to score in the first half on the Buffalo defense...George Davis IV knocked down his first goal of the season two and a half minutes into match play...the Bulls went on to score twice and defeat the Falcons.

The 2006 season marks the twenty-second season that coach Joe Luxbacher will be with the Panthers...since his arrival, the program is 182-169-45 to date...Pitt returns twenty-one letterwinners from last season's 3-12-1 finishers...of the returning lettermen, eight are starters...the Panthers finished 2-9-0 in the Blue division of the Big East in 2005.

The Panthers currently hold a winning record of 3-2-1 at Founders Field...in their last home match (10/1), Marquette fell victim to the Panthers defense and were defeated 3-0...at their last road match (10/7), Providence defeated the Panthers 2-1 (OT)...the overtime loss evened Pitt's record to 0-2-2 when the match is pushed past regulation...in their thirteen matches, Pitt has scored two or more goals in just two matches...the Panthers beat Cincinnati, 2-1, and Marquette, 3-0...they have scored once in nine other matches and have been shut out twice...Pitt is most likely to score in the first half...the Panthers had 10 goals in the first half compared to just three in the second.

Currently, Pitt is 0-1-0 when competing against MAC squads in 2006...Buffalo handed Pitt a season opening 2-1 loss on August 25.

Although each of the programs have storied histories dating back to 1954 (Pitt) and 1965 (BGSU) they have only met once...the single meeting was at the St. Bonaventure Classic where the Panthers took the 1-0 win...the meeting will be the first time the two programs are not playing on a neutral field.
