The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished 12th at the Xavier Invitational this week (Oct. 2-3). The 18-team field had six Mid-American Conference teams competing, with the Falcons trailing only Akron and Eastern Michigan.
The Orange and Brown shot a 54-hole team score of 862 (282-286-294) for a two-under tournament finish.
Junior Jace Walker carded a 214 (71-71-72) to lead the Falcons. He finished 30th in the 96 player field.
Also competing for the Falcons were Matt Schneider (217, T-42nd), Trevor Spathelf (218, T-45th) Dan McIntyre (222, T-62nd) and John Powers (228, T-84th).
Up next for the Falcons will be the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational on Oct. 9-10. The two-day event is hosted by Ball State University.
