
Keating, Lopus and Yee Pace Falcons at Ohio University

ATHENS, Ohio - Although Bowling Green State University (0-3-0, 0-3-0) dropped a MAC dual meet at Ohio University (2-1-0, 2-1-0), the Falcons captured 17 top three finishes in 16 events against the Bobcats. Alisha Yee, Caroline Keating and Chelsea Lopus won their individual events while the combination of Frankie Houck, Jennifer Wright, Meg Richardson and Caroline Keating took the 200 free relay.
Yee recorded her fifth top finish of the season in the 100 back with a time of 59.40. She also placed second in the 200 back. Lopus' 100 fly victory marked the second time in as many contests to be the first to touch the wall, while Keating's 5:09.55 mark also her second consecutive win in the 500 free. The victory was the fourth for the co-captain in MAC competition.
Senior co-captain Brit O'Conner also notched two top three times in the 100 and 200 back while junior Kimberly Albin added an additional two in the 200 fly and the 200 breast. Frankie Houck and Jennifer Wright scored for the Falcons with their third place finishes in the 50 and 100 free races, respectively.
Ashley Belrose's second place score of 214.72 off the 1-meter board was less than nine points shy of OU's Lindsay Hamilton's first place score of 250.75. Sarah Parker followed Belrose in the standings with her 212.25 third place score.
Bowling Green will open their home season on November 11 when the Ball State Cardinals travel east to challenge the Swimming and Diving Falcons. The MAC sponsored meet will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be the last meet of the Fall semester for the squad.
